I quickly look at the clock,
The hands show 7:01.
I frantically slip on my socks,
but my homework is still not done.
In the school bus I check my pockets,
Only to discover my wallet was not there,
No matter where I looked, it was nowhere to be seen,
It was as if it vanished into thin air.
In school the teacher asked me a question,
I found it impossible to reply,
She stood up, an angry face showed,
I was instructed to go outside.
Sometimes I wonder what its like,
If I lived a life without school,
I would have all the time in the world,
I could take a dip in the pool.
